The objective to this program is to preserve a generation of our history and to help increase interest in literacy by storytelling (and re-telling) of relevant topics told through relevant mechanism. We will pass along “our stories” through this intergenerational project. The benefits that participants will have are to show how “times have changed” and yet how times have “remained the same” through the eyes of our elders. Also, to have these stories captured by appropriate peer groups to re-tell to their peers, thereby completing the circle of literacy (story telling and then re-telling).
